2026 SAFARI SHOOT TOURNAMENT

APRIL 18TH, 2026

Step into the wild at Oak Ridge Archery’s Annual Safari Shoot — a one-of-a-kind 3D archery tournament set in the beautiful Texas Hill Country.

This competitive 1.5-mile course winds through upper and lower walking trails, featuring 30 realistic, life-size 3D safari targets strategically placed to challenge your accuracy, distance judgment, and shot control. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or looking to test your skills in a dynamic outdoor setting, the Safari Shoot delivers a true hunting-style experience.

Archers will compete within their divisions for custom trophies awarded to 1st place and runner-up, making it a fun yet competitive environment for all skill levels.

Registration

$35 per individual archer
$125 per team of 4

Concessions will be opened, giving everyone a chance to relax, connect, and enjoy the community atmosphere that makes Oak Ridge Archery special.

Traveling from out of town? Lago Vista offers excellent lodging options, scenic lake views, and plenty of activities to make it a full weekend getaway.

Built for archers who appreciate the outdoors and the challenge of the shot, Oak Ridge Archery offers a place where skill, focus, and nature come together. Whether you’re an experienced archer, dedicated bowhunter, or stepping up to the line for the first time, our range provides an authentic field archery experience designed to test your abilities and sharpen your skill set.

Set among the rolling hills and rugged terrain in Lago Vista, our walking trail courses wind through native landscape, giving archers the opportunity to train in natural conditions while enjoying the quiet beauty of the Texas Hill Country.

While the experience is rooted in tradition and challenge, Oak Ridge Archery is family-friendly welcoming beginners, youth archers, and families looking to spend quality time outdoors together and grow in the sport.

Field Archery Trail 1

This walking trail is approximately 1 mile and offers 18 stations with 24 challenging shot opportunities natural to the Hill Country with varying distances from 12 to 65 yards. Archers will appreciate the course with it’s rolling hills and vertical gain.
Field Archery Trail 2

This walking trail is approximately half a mile and offers 12 challenging shooting stations through dense woods and heavy cover.
Open Field Practice Range

Fixed distance practice range from 15 to 40 yards.
Covered Lineal Training Range

Training range with fixed distances at 10, 15 and 20 yards.
